Grammy Award-winning artist Bilal returns to the spotlight to celebrate the 25th anniversary of one of neo-soul’s most influential albums — his debut, 1st Born Second.

A singular voice in modern soul, Bilal blends jazz, funk, hip-hop and RnB with a vocal style that shifts effortlessly from raw intensity to soaring falsetto, cementing his place as one of the most respected artists of his generation.

Released in 2001, the record helped redefine the boundaries of neo-soul, brought to life by the Soulquarians collective alongside collaborators including J Dilla, Dr. Dre and Mos Def.
