Enjoy Local

We are proud to stand with other amazing local venues and Islington Council to support the Enjoy Local campaign! Arts, culture, theatre and music have made life easier for so many during lockdown. Now we need you to help us.

For over 10 years, Islington Assembly Hall has been operating as a live music venue in the heart of the borough bringing the community huge names including Skepta, Ed Sheeran, Laura Mvula, Ghetts and Jesse Ware to name a few.

Since the pandemic hit, we have worked tirelessly to make sure the venue is Covid-secure and, come 21 May, we are once more ready to open our doors with a fantastic line up of music for socially-distanced shows including Gruff Rhys (21 May), Jordan MacKampa (10 Jun) and Black Country, New Road (27-29 Jun) plus many more. Check out all our upcoming shows here.

Venues all over Islington need the community to rally together to support the businesses and institutions they value most. Music venues are so important for the rest of the borough, bringing everyone from across London and the UK here to go to restaurants, bars and to do a bit of shopping!

Being socially distanced means our capacity has reduced from 890 to just 150. Not being able to serve as many people, combined with proudly paying all staff at least London Living Wage, means that the community’s help is needed more than ever! To support us, buy a ticket to a live show and, once here, enjoy drinks at our bar. We’ve got an app in place now so drinks are delivered straight to your table.

If you’re nervous about coming to one of our shows, feel free to call us and one of the team will be happy to talk you through the measures that are in place (020 7527 8900) or you can visit our FAQs page.

You can show your support for the campaign by using the hashtag #EnjoyLocal to highlight your favourite, local establishments on social media. We’d also love to find out where your go-to places are in Islington before or after one of our gigs! Is there a late-night pub around the corner that’s perfect for a post-gig debrief?! Let us know by messaging us on Instagram.
